Health Nazi’s

There are two things that our nation has become obssessed with:

1. Enviromentalism
2. Health

It has gotten to the point where states are forcing their citizens to abide by these new ”moral” standards. Health has especially been on the radar lately as many are practically treating it like smoking cigerette’s. It’s a big shock that hippy town, Los Angeles is leading the way by banning Fast Food restaurants for a year. Now, I have no problem with educating society on living a healthy lifestyle. However, enforcing it, demanding it, and not to mention taking buisnesses away is called “fascism”.

When I read about how China bans “Bald and Smelly” cab drivers from working during the Olympics, and hear that Japan has mandated laws against going over a certain waist line, I breath easy knowing that I don’t live in a controlling and fascist country like that, but we are increasingly gaining their ideals. Ideals that do not match up with American freedom. There are laws that help protect it’s citizens, and then there are laws that help CONTROL it’s citizens. It is a fine line, but anyone with the right judgement can figure out the difference.

Getting rid of free enterprise business because it makes people fat isn’t a good enough reason. People should have the right and freedom to eat whatever they want and no one can say otherwise. If someone wants to get fat, then that is their choice, we can’t stop them. We can positively educate society to eat and live healthier, but condemning businesses that don’t promote that lifestyle is fascism. Condemning people who don’t live that lifestyle is fascism.

We have to realize the dangerous path we are taking in America. It starts off gradually and then slowly becomes the norm, and once that happens it is very hard to go back, to reform, without conflict or exodus.
